Sick to my stomach about flying next week
I already postponed this trip once after airports started getting crazy last month, and I can't push it off again. It's a family thing, and it's so important (new baby to meet!), but I literally feel ill every time I think about it. Like, I'm convinced that this is the end for me already. I've done this flight before, and last time the turbulence was so bad even my GF (a much more experienced traveler than me) was freaked out, which is not a good last impression for me to have of the experience.
While talking to a coworker about it a few days ago I mentioned it was a Delta flight, and she immediately started talking about how she'll never fly Delta again because it was "the sketchiest plane she'd ever been on".
I just don't know what to do. I can't cancel and I'm just convinced I won't survive it. It's like I'm just watching this brick wall rapidly approach until I smash into it, and I'm terrified, and I don't want to do it.
We're flying out of Laguardia which is part of my anxiety - I'm still thinking about the accident they had a couple months ago, and how there was apparently only one air traffic controller in the whole place?? Has anyone had experience flying out of there recently?
