Houses marked as sold before settlement?
Just a query is is normal practice for a QLD real estate to mark a property as sold when it is still not settled. House next door was marked as being under offer a month ago and then a week later it was marked as being sold and the sold price was published (which was really high).
Thought that is strange that it was sold as the staging furniture was still in house etc and hadn't been removed, the staging company are back today to remove the furniture with the original owner so I presume that the actual settlement hasn't happened as yet.
Is is normal practice for real estate agents to mark homes as being sold on Realestate.com.au and Domain etc before actual settlement happens? I don't remember that being the case when I bought my house, it wasn't marked as being sold until actual settlement happened and I had the keys.
