Help friend with breaking up?

So I have a friend who just learned she was lithromantic, but she’s currently in a relationship and doesn't know how to break up. She feels really uncomfortable, and she knows it’s not either one’s fault but she still feels guilty about trying to break up. Has anyone had a similar experience, and could you give some advice?
