Reverb. It is what it is.
It is what it is. Improvements can and should be made. They have a lock on the used gear market and do it better than anyone else but it's not without some serious flaws.
I have never found 10% (average) to be unreasonable but there are many hidden fees if you are selling internationally.
Their seller support has improved noticeably with the new ownership (Etsy were truly awful).
They need a phone service to help with more complicated matters and high volume sellers should be assigned an account manager. It is unreasonable to not have such a thing.
In the end, it's a corporate entity owned by private equity that makes a huge amount of money so their is no reason why some glaring issues (that they must be aware of) couldn't be improved. It's effectively a monopoly and monopolies are never a good thing.
The offers system of 5 days hold (used to be four so it's worse than before) and then ghost needs to be fixed immediately.
Sellers need to be able to block problem and abusive users more easily.
Their algo often feels as if it punishes sellers (ever had a dispite underway and found that your sales dried up until it was resolved)?
The bump system is biased and unfair and should be dropped.
Get rid of the prefered seller status. It has not been offered to newer (past 3 yrs) sellers (regardless of high rating, volume, regular listings, quick shipping and responding) yet those sellers who previously had that status maintain it. It is an unfair advantage no longer offered and not based on merit.
The chat staff need to be more professional with their language. It is over-familiar, too casual and often demanding - I'm not your buddy, I am a seller/buyer and we are dealing with my money and/or property so show the proper decorum and respect. Again, this has improved lately.
They get a lot of things right but we are paying customers and deserve to be heard.
Their bot 'Trem' can suck a dick (as can all bots) :)
