teeth “zinging” after deep cleaning.

I got a scaling & planing done today for the first time ever. It went fine and 6-7 hrs after the fact I felt normal and fine. finally around bed time, 8-9 hrs later, my bottom front teeth (they did the bottoms), started to hurt and have this “zinging” type of nerve sensation. it’s constant. It’s unbearable enough that I can’t sleep with it. is this normal to feel afterwards?

I do not smoke or drink.
