I’ve been struggling with something for a while, and I don’t really know who else to ask, so I’m just putting it out here.

I used to love photography,, Like, really love it. it was the one thing that made me feel present, like I was actually paying attention to the world instead of just drifting through it. But lately… I don’t know. That feeling is fading. I pick up my camera and it just feels heavy , Not exciting, not inspiring just… there.

At the same time, I’m stuck in a job I honestly hate. It drains me. Every day feels the same, and I come home exhausted, with no energy left for anything creative. It’s the kind of job you take because you need money, not because you want to be there—and I really need the money. I’m not in a position where I can just quit and figure things out later.

That’s part of the problem,. I’m broke. I don’t have savings, I don’t have connections, and I definitely don’t have much experience doing photography professionally. So even if I wanted to go all in, I don’t know if that’s just a stupid risk.

But then there’s this other part of me that keeps asking: what if the reason I’m losing my passion is because I’m too tired and stuck in the wrong life? What if photography isn’t dead for me—what if it’s just buried under stress and routine?

I don’t know if I should hold on to this job for stability or take a risk and try to pursue something I used to love. And honestly, I don’t even know if I still love it enough.

Has anyone been in a place like this? Did you stick with the safe option or take the risk? And if you took the risk'was it worth it?

I could really use some honest advice.
