Hybrid but with a distributed team

I'm interviewing for a hybrid position and I'm wondering if I should just stop or ask for more clarification.

The compay is a several year old startup that had a tech leadership change. They want California employees to work three days in office. I'm fine with hybrid when it makes sense.

They have two California offices and a lot of remote workers in other states (and QA in India) and I'm closer to the smaller office but it's still a long drive.

My team will be distributed and with QA in another timezone, I feel like there's little reason to mandate three days in office. I touched on this briefly with the hiring manager who said there are alot of people in this office.

I'm wondering if I should try to get more reasoning for the hybrid mandate if the team is distributed before continuing to interview or if I should just stop the processand not waste my time.
