Whole character story is gone

I chose to update the game with my current campaign without seeing anything on this sub in like a month and my character was dropped into a dialogue with an npc I’ve never seen or mentioned before and the whole plot was rewritten like I just began but have all my equipment and items and levels still. Lmk if there’s a way to reverse it thanks
