I tried building something for founders… and only developers showed up (I will not self promote)

Rant

I’m building a platform to help early-stage founders find developers through short trial projects and reviewing their relevant projects rather than resumes.

So I made a post only targeting founders.

Result:
~3 founders signed up
~15 developers joined

That ratio kind of shocked me.

It made me realize how saturated the entry-level dev market actually is. Tons of people are actively looking for experience, but not nearly as many founders are looking for help at the same time.

Now I’m rethinking things:

  • how to attract more founders
  • how to balance supply vs demand

Curious if others have seen the same imbalance?
