I was involved in a police chase gone wrong AMA
Back in October I was on my way to get food before going home. 3 guys in a stolen van running from the police rammed into me. I was on the phone with my finance at the time and she heard the whole thing. Luckily because the police were chasing the guys the response was quick and I was taken directly to the ER. I spent 2 months in the hospital where I underwent several surgeries including having parts of my intestines removed from the seatbelt. I also suffered a traumatic brain injury. I lost a lot of weight I went from 155lbs (70.3kg) to 125lb (56.699kg) I don’t remember about 2 weeks to a month before the accident. I had just walked out on my job a week before and I completely forgot that I did. The owners of the company came and visited me in the hospital and welcomed me back with open arms. I’ve made a lot of progress with my recovery. I just finished at home therapies that I had since January. I had speech, occupational, physical, music, and a dietitian(I can’t eat most of my favorite foods anymore). I graduated from their program and they gave me a guideline to continue recovery on my own. It’s a pretty insane story that I’m still trying to process myself.
