Trapani vs Castellammare def golfo as a base?

My husband and I are visiting in June as part of our honeymoon, we’re staying 4 nights in ortigia, 2 nights in Ragusa ibla, and for the last 4 nights we can’t decide between castellammare del golfo vs Trapani?

Castellammare seems like a good base to go visit san vito, zingaro, even palermo but not sure how nice the town is as a base? Would staying in Trapani be better?

Open to other suggestions as well, thanks!
