LDR Australia (Sydney and Brisbane)

I’m based in Sydney but recently got a job that makes me have to move to Brisbane. His work is partially remote, so he’s only in office 2 days/week (flexible days - so could be Monday & Tuesday in office eand then Wed - Frid he works remotely). Round trip costs around $200 based on my research. I was thinking to divide the plane ticket every 2 weeks for him to visit me and stay for 4 days. Could it work? Has anyone ever done this before?
