Baby Names

Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster.

I am currently 32 weeks pregnant with a little boy and trying to come up with a strong short list of names.

My goal is to have 2 or 3 names we like then wait until they are born to make the final decision.

We are both Scottish and live in Scotland but I also have Irish family and have a general preference for Scottish or Irish names.

Our surname is an object, which I think makes it a bit harder. We want to avoid all A names as we don't want their work/school email to be 'Asurname' at any point.

My husband would prefer a name with a clear nickname, he grew up without a nickname-able (not a word but you get what I mean) name and would like that option for his son. This is nice to have but not a need to have.

I think we have decided the middle name is David.

My list is so far:

Lewis

Lochlan

Rory

Finley

Husband list:

Duncan

Harris

Oscar

Can't use as already close family members:

Max/Maxwell

Elliott

I find it funny my husband list doesn't follow his own nickname preference!

Sorry for the long post and formatting as on mobile. I am just sure I am missing some good options. As you can see we like quite classic names.
