Has anyone here actually learned bookkeeping through free online resources? Did it work?

I stumbled on a bunch of free bookkeeping courses (Open University, Coursera, Alison, etc.), and honestly the coverage is pretty comprehensive, from basic entries all the way to financial statements.

But I’m wondering how far that really gets you in practice.

For anyone who went the free route, did it actually translate into real skills or work opportunities?
