38M – Horror lover, gamer, short story writer – looking for a compulsive texter/talker to be my new friend

Hey! I'm 38, male, a truck driver by trade, and also doing college online. I spend my days on the road, which means I've got a lot of windshield time and a serious need for good conversation. I'm looking for a real friend—specifically a compulsive texter or talker who loves to stay connected throughout the day.

A little about me: I'm a massive horror fan. Movies, books, anime—if it's dark, creepy, or unsettling, I'm all in. I also write my own horror short stories. Nothing published, just a creative passion I take seriously. If you're also a writer I'd love to talk shop, but it's not necessary at all. Just being able to geek out over a twisted plot or a terrifying scene is more than enough.

Music is huge for me. My taste is all over the place, from screamo to just really damn good music of any genre. I'm always hunting for new stuff, so send me your playlists. Gaming is another obsession—story-driven single-player games mostly, but I dabble everywhere when time allows.

Because I'm driving all day, I'm surprisingly free. I can carry on long voice chats (hands-free, don't worry), text when I'm parked, and generally be the kind of friend who actually shows up and engages. My sleep schedule is erratic, so time zones don't matter.
