iMac G4 Hinge question

I was wondering whether the hinge mechanism is the same across the different sizes of the iMac G4, or if there are differences in the springs inside the monitor arm to account for the varying weights.

I’m about to buy a 15" model for a restomod project, and I’m planning to use a larger display. Would that be a bad choice given the potential differences in the arm/hinge?
