Small vent about the ridiculous amount of pushback from nurses about female sterilization

I am swedish, in Sweden you cannot, BY LAW, be denied sterilization if you request it once you have turned 25. I turned 25 this year and I've longed for the procedure since I was 15. I've never wanted children and I want to make sure there's no risk of it happening either.

I thought, naively enough, that since I legally can't be denied the surgery it should be relatively easy right? Nope!

Every step of the way I had to argue, defend myself, deny ridiculous accusations and propositions. Despite numerous appointments where I'm consistently telling them I DO NOT WANT KIDS, I get told they wont do the surgery until I try more types of birth control. Literally illegal btw

So now I'm having to report them to the authorities and try again somewhere else, likely in a different region. Months long process, again!!! Anything to stop you from not birthing more worker ants ig
