William analysis( manga part 2)

I find William in Part 2 to be more serene than before, but he lacked the dynamism and playfulness of William in Part 1. He felt like a dying furnace, calm, but somehow weary. It pained me to see him dye his hair black or hide in a box when he needed to go outside. I know it was to protect >!​!<him, but William seemed to be slowly dying from living in the shadows. William is a social person; he enjoys talking to people. Even Sherlock clearly sees that William's current life is limiting him.
