Technical description of the cadence/style of the opening lines in Goldford’s “Ride the Storm”?

I am not a musician; please forgive the ignorance.

I’m an English language nerd and it almost feels iambic. It’s syncopation of some sort but I am having the hardest time explaining that bouncy cadence in a way that is replicable when describing in words.

Lots of other songs do it; Noah Kahan does it to a lesser extent in the opening line of “No Complaints.”

What the heck is it called?
