Urgent: My bank (Coracle) is holding my only funds for weeks due to a system issue (Ticket 1185712). I am now €3,000 in debt and cannot survive in Germany.
Hello Reddit,
I am in a desperate financial situation due to an ongoing system issue with my bank/financial service provider, Coracle, and I am pleading for advice or visibility on this matter. I am completely out of money and have accrued a debt of €3,000 EUR covering basic living costs while waiting for this issue to be resolved. Without these funds, I cannot cover my basic expenses or survive.
The core issue is that I cannot activate the payout feature on my account. Here is the timeline of the communication on Ticket 1185712:
- April 8: I first contacted Coracle, explaining that I could not activate the payout feature and stressed that I rely on these funds for daily life.
- April 10: Coracle confirmed that due to "current system limitations," activating payouts or making changes is not possible. They noted that there were "excess funds" in my account that were not transferred due to a system issue.
- April 13: I confirmed my IBAN in writing to receive the refund, and Coracle forwarded the request to their relevant team for review.
- April 24: Coracle requested "Proof of transfer... a document from the bank that contains details of a transaction" to verify my IBAN. I immediately sent them my recent account statement as requested.
- April 26, April 28, April 30: I sent repeated, urgent follow-ups, emphasizing that these funds are essential for my living expenses and asking for an update, but received no confirmation or resolution.
- Today (May 1st): I sent an escalated email stating I am completely out of money, in €3,000 debt, and need immediate action.
I have done everything Coracle has asked, yet the funds are being held up by what they admit is a system issue on their end. I have reached a critical point and am asking for advice on any next steps I can take (e.g., escalating to a regulatory body in Germany) to force this refund immediately.
Thank you for any help you can offer.
