ER trip turned into 5 day long hospital admission

Lab Questions

hi yall, i’m merely confused and looking for some insight or anyone with a similar experience.

about 3 weeks ago (4/4), i came into the er. over the course of 5ish days, i had a fever of 102.5, hot flashes, chills, body aches, swollen lymph nodes, could barely move, raging headache, and joint and neck pain. by day 3, fever came back to 100.5 despite fluids tylenol and advil, and day 4, a r4sh going from my scalp down the top of my back, front and sides of my neck, and all the way down and across my torso appeared, and lasted another 4 days. drs waved it off as a tick bourne illness (despite every single tick disease test they could run coming back negative), i took doxycycline for 10 days, it helped, went home and was mostly fine the following week after coming off the meds (minus some dizziness, tachycardia, and nausea here and there) up until this past sunday (4/26). sunday same exact pattern occurred minus the r4sh. they admitted me for observation monday and formally was inpatient by wednesday. also just to cover my bases: everything “common” was negative; mono, lyme, flu, covid, rsv, you name it.

viral vs autoimmune was discussed. they took more amounts of bloodwork than i can count on both hands and feet. as far as the autoimmune bloodwork results go:

ANA Titer: 1:40 (which i know is sometimes seen as a gray area or potentially even negative, my ANA has been positive since i first was tested for it around 10 or 11 years old and was referred to rheumatology as a kid for joint pain).

ANA patterns: nuclear, speckled, + nuclear, homogeneous.

dsDNA: negative

other oddities that came up in my labs—

my immature platelet fraction count is elevated, and has been since the first time i got sick 3 weeks ago.
trace amounts of protein found in my urine.
blood urea nutrition as well as my BUN/creatinine ratios are low.
c-reactive protein has consistently been elevated my whole stay and continues to trend upward.
rheumatology discovered that i’m hyper mobile through their examinations.

NOTE: i have an asthma and hashimoto’s disease dx already.

i guess i’m just like what the heck is going on lol. i’ve been seeing rheumatology daily to check in and these AI tests are the last ones we essentially were waiting on, but i feel like nothing lines up or points me in a direction. let me know what yalls thoughts are or if you have any questions. thank you for your time :)
