Actors who got Slapped in their debut acting role

Which actors got Slapped in their debut first acting role that never acted before. I know there's Christian Bale that got slapped in empire of the sun by the actress playing the nanny my question is why did he slapped when it was his debut and it was his first ever acting role and he was just a child . Why do children get into acting only to immediately be slapped and feel pain I would understand if it was a couple of roles later, but it was only his debut why did he get slapped and are there any more examples of actors child or Adult actors that got slapped for real in their debut and have never acted before, and like I said my question is why do actors get slapped for real in their first ever acting role when they have never acted before. Isn't it bad for actors to get into acting only to be slapped and feel physical pain during their first acting role. I would understand if it was a couple of roles later but it's still their first ever acting role isn't it early.
