Comet/Perplexity New Connector

Hello everyone,

Web research inside Codex, Claude Code, and most AI coding helpers still sucks.

Introducing: Comet Skill

You don’t need to pay for the Perplexity API. You just let Codex or Claude use your logged-in Comet browser session.

Agent gets research task → Comet Skill connects over CDP → opens a clean Perplexity tab → selects Deep Research → uploads files → submits the query → returns the `/search/<id>` URL.

The important part: Codex/Claude does **not** sit there waiting forever or dump 10k tokens into context.

It hands the job to Comet, keeps working, and you come back to the finished research thread when needed.
