Motif classic LPF+HPF filter combo

I've been digging into the Motif and S line of synths from Yamaha of old and noticed that some filter omissions were made after the Motif classic.

The classic had a few LPF+HPF filter combinations that were omitted on the ES, XS, XF and S90ES.

My question really, is how big of a difference would this make to a sound such as the one in the attached images? And are there any clever workarounds to get to the same result?
