People that are impressed by the Alps haven't really seen the North American mountains

From Cascadia to the Canadian Rockies the Teton Range-Wind River, the Sierra Madre and the Sierra Nevada.... It's beyond beautiful, vast, raw and untouched.

I've been to these mountains a lot and my first time in Switzerland left me very unimpressed.

The pros of Switzerland is that it's very small/concentrated and overdeveloped, so everything is easier to get to through public transport and you can see a lot in a small time. There's gondolas, rides, and a lot of infrastructure everywhere so everything is very accessible. It's like being in Disneyworld for mountains.

I'm not saying they're not impressive, because they are! But I also think it's kinda overhyped if you've travelled through North America (not to mention the Andes or Himalayas)
