How long does the deep rooted dread and grief last?

My partner of two years left me about 5 days ago. I was planning to move states to be with him in under 3 months. No indication before about a week ago. I feel ill almost all the time. My body aches. I understand its for the better, because i want someone who would always fight for me and choose me. But it doesnt help, really. How long does the bodily sensations of grief last…
