I don’t know what to do…
My son is 2 and a half. I work from home and with him 24/7. He’s currently in OT to help with tantrums and things. And we’re waiting on a speech therapist.
The issue is my son doesn’t want to do anything. This goes way beyond boundary pushing. I understand toddlers. He is ONLY okay doing something he’s not supposed to. He’s not afraid of consequences. There’s nothing way to really punish him.
He doesn’t want to play with toys, he has zero interest. He will pick something out at the store, then is bored before we get to the car. He doesn’t want to read books.
He doesn’t listen well enough for me to take him in public alone. He knows how to unfasten harnesses, and I literally can’t carry him safely or hold his hand- even his therapist comments on how strong he is.
Everyone says that they don’t have the capacity to manipulate, but I’m watching him do it.
He doesn’t like me singing to him, or trying to teach him anything. He won’t sit still long enough.
