Which area to stay in for quick Paris weekend, on way to Italy in May. First timers

Booked 2 Hyatts, not sure which to keep, they are near each other but sounds like different area vibes and possibly one in busy area and not sure if that matters. Booked Hyatt Vendome and Hotel Du Louvre........is one in a better location for quick weekend site seeing? First timers, Thanks
