Do I need an International Driving Permit to drive in Greece?

I tried finding answers online but still didn't get an answer. I am from Lebanon and I have a Lebanese driving license. I am already in Greece so it's too late for me to get an IDP. Some online articles said that it's okay to drive with the license because my info is written in latin characters, and others said it's not. So could I rent or drive a car here?
