England PSA: Landlords may need to send you a Renters’ Rights Act info sheet by 31 May 2026 (worth knowing)

Just sharing this because I only recently came across it and figured others might not be aware either.

From what I’ve seen, under the upcoming Renters’ Rights Act changes (from May 2026), landlords are expected to provide tenants with an official information sheet explaining the new rules and rights.

A few key points (as I understand it):

This applies to tenants in England, especially if your tenancy started before the changes come in

The deadline being mentioned is 31 May 2026

It should be sent to every adult named on the tenancy

It needs to be the actual document (PDF or printed) – not just a link

It can be sent via email, WhatsApp, text (as an attachment), or as a hard copy

Worth keeping proof (for both sides) that it was sent/received
