Montages in Movies

Does anyone else feel like many modern movies are missing out by having limited montages? I feel like when movies are “this happens, then this happens, then this happens” it ends up being bland.

Montages are a great way to build hype for a scene, explain time jumps and location changes, and show character growth. While not every movie needs a training montage, today it seems like it’s a linear this then that type of showing things.
