iPhone 17/16 Pro Max or the Samsung Galaxy S26/25 Ultra?

I have only used and been using an Android phone since back then and I am planning to buy a new flagship phone next month. The thing is, I have been endlessly watching video comparisons and between the flagship models and I still have not made up my mind on what phone I should buy. However, each person uses their phone differently so each has their own experiences and opinions about the phones.

Things to consider:

****The comparison is for 17PM<->S26U and 16PM<->S25U so two answers ideally****

HARDWARE:

- Must have insane longevity and consistency (performance of the device over the next 5+ years)

- Gaming performance (FPS, Temperature, minimum lag spikes)

- Temperature in general

- Heavy workload (optimization vs raw power)

- Display quality and colors, also smoothness

- Signal reception

PHOTOGRAPHY: (separated this since I love to take pictures)

- Consistency, especially in low light and harsh lighting

- I often prefer more realistic and warm colors

- Smoothness of the camera experience

- Willing to use 3rd party camera apps for better control (Ex: Blackmagic app)

- Editability of non RAW and LOG files

- Quality of pro photo and video codecs (RAW, LOG, and others) as I am planning to learn post-production

SOFTWARE:

- I can adapt to the change in OS, I only do technical stuff in my PC anyway

- Basically a phone that is just the best at the fundamentals, no need for the gimmicky stuff

- Aesthetics (which phone looks best with minimal effort)

OTHER INFORMATION

- I have an iPad Air (I already have some experience with iOS, I don't dislike it, it just feels different)

- I have a Windows PC (I use this more than the iPad)

- I'm kind of a 'traditional' phone user, I don't really care about new features, I just want to be able to play games smoothly and hop on social media

TLDR; Which among the two phone comparisons I can feel the most secure using for more than 5 years?
