Should I leave 8 years in property accounting to do tax/advisory work?
I am torn between property accounting which I kinda don't like its ok, but I am interested in getting into tax / advisory work. Not just doing tax returns but advisory and possibly having my own firm. I own a few properties of my own so that is some experience running a business.
Taxes I like and I am taking the ea classes now. I kinda want to explore it more since I have properties of my own I do accounting and taxes for and I actually really like it.
I want the following in 20 years:
- more autonomy
- higher pay ceiling
- a industry that has lots of growth in 10 - 20 years
- possibility of going on my own
anyone gone from property accounting to tax work?
