Ex got married

How did you guys get over the person you thought was your soulmate, but ended up marrying someone else?

Any help would be really appreciated. I kind of postponed our engagement and then we later broke up mutually, maybe more from his side. I was waiting for him to realize how unfair and avoidant he had been but instead he moved on and married someone else.
