I hate not eating at home
The most stressful and disappointing activity ever, I swear. This goes both for restaurants and for eating at others' place. I pick something that sounds like a dish I know and love, only to bite into it and realize they prepare it completely differently. Or it's so spicy it's inedible. The meat is also often fatty and chewy, which I hate. And restaurants are usually insanely expensive. I'd rather cook something at home and I bet it will be cheaper and I'll actually like it.
If I can help it, I always time my visits so that they won't recommend me having lunch there and actively try to avoid having to visit a restaurant when I am travelling. Hell, I'd rather eat baked goods from Tesco when I am abroad, at least that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and I know it tastes good.
