Movie problems

Have you ever wondered how many films produced annually around the world actually make it to the West in general? Very few, because there are genuinely only a handful of slots within a cinematic year where the market is decidedly unbalanced. The point, however, is that there is an entire 'foreign' narrative and culture about which we know very little — and this doesn't stop at films alone. So are there such things as 'ideal' pieces of information, and others that are not?
