My Stanley cup has been the best investment I've made this year
I just wanted to say, it's been 5 months since I had my first Stanley cup and I'm very happy with it. I got the boot to complement it, I hope it lasts for a long time!
I've always lived in hot climates. What my parents did so we can get cold water was that they'd fill jars of water and leave it on the freezer. My mom would always yell about refilling the jars and while yes, it was annoying to keep an eye out for that, it was the only way to get cold water for us like 20 years ago.
I also have ADHD. I'd grab a glass of water, and then forget about it, and then go get another glass of water. Before I realized, I had a bunch of glasses of water in my desk and it was annoying to clean them all up.
I got the idea of getting a water bottle to solve all these issues a couple of years ago. I first got a plastic water bottle, but the water doesn't stay cold and sometimes it makes a mess with the condensation building up on the desk.
I then tried with an insulated water bottle from Starbucks. Now I got cool water, but I didn't like that the lid would spill water every time I took a sip, so I started to look for water cups with straws.
Stanley has been selling their products in my city for a few years now. I decided to give it a try last Christmas. It was quite expensive, I decided to go with the 40 Oz one. Considering that I work from home and this was meant to stay at my desk all day, I thought I'd want a size that needs as few refills as possible as I work.
Needless to say, I am very glad with my purchase. The water stays cold for a long time, so even in specially hot days I have no problem cooling off. The cup is very high quality, and easy to clean. I save myself the trouble of having to constantly clean up water glasses or filling jars to get cold water.
I might get a bigger ice cube tray though.
But yeah, this has made my life so much easier. Less dishes to wash, cold water in hot days, and very durable too! I even got that boot for the cup to make sure it'd be protected from any falls or anything like that. Definitely a great investment.
