friend wants a tattoo of my traditional artwork, how to go about designing?

i apologize if this isn't the correct sub to ask this on. if it's not i would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction.

to preface l am a fully traditional (not the tattoo kind lol) artist and mostly do paintings and pen and pencil sketches. my friend messaged me asking her to create a tattoo design for her, but i'm not sure the best way to go about it. If she were to take my design to an artist, would it be best if the design was digitized/transferred by me, or if i were to send my friend a picture of my irl work and the tattoo artist cleaned it up themselves?
