Wish they assign different hit slots for small shiny and art gallery cards vs ex cards

Don't know about others but it has happened to me a quite a few times with different sets where all my hits in packs were nothing but small shiny and art gallery cards after opening a load of packs. It took a while until i actually saw an ex.

I know they've added sharing, but i still feel like it'd be much better to be able pull the ex cards you need to build decks easier, and avoid the trouble of needing to search for a share/trade partner, rather than just pulling cards that mostly have no use other than being aesthetically pleasing.

I do like collecting the nice looking cards, but the way they've done all this with the packs/pulls has been bugging me for a while, think it could have been done in a much better way. Thoughts?
