Am I bad daughter?
Hello, I'm 24 years old and a teacher. Eight months ago, I left my small town with limited opportunities and moved to a metropolis. I share an apartment with three girls. I work full-time at a primary school and part-time at a language school. I built a life for myself from scratch. I grew up with a mother who suffered from depression, and my father and mother often argued. Our financial situation was bad; I often didn't have pocket money for school because my older sister was in college and they often sent her money. I couldn't find a job in my town, and even if I had, my life there would have been limited. My mother wants me to go back to my town, saying she is lonely and have no one. This is true because I was the one who took care of her there. I told her I didn't want to go back. She told me that I work two jobs here and have a miserable life. She often talks about how a her friend's daughter is married to a pilot and has a good life, as if I could never be enough for her. She tells me that I live my life here she feels sad and she will never be happy. She grow up with abusive mom and traumatic childhood I hate making her sad but what should I do seriously? If I live the life she wants for me I will forever be sad I guess. Just venting need advice from ladies who had similar issues with family or just wants to give some..
