Refund due since November

Hey everyone!

I filed my taxes for 2024 with a tax advisor back in November of 2025 (had extension and everything). In December I was asked to verify my personal information as well as bank account, etc.

It's now May, so roughly 6 months since verifying my information and them saying I can take up to 9 weeks.

I have found impossible to get somebody to speak to on the phone and my tax advisor just tells me that the IRS is running behind on refunds.

Since the refund is in the 15k+ area, I would like to have that sooner rather than later.

Any advise? I'm not an US citizen and doing this for the first time, so if those waiting times are normal, please disregard my rant.
