Hey everyone,

I've been heavily vibecoding my font modding utility, fModLoader, and I just pushed out a huge update (BETA v1.0.4 - "Project Vectoris"). I've been building this tool to make dynamic font glyph modification a lot easier and more accessible for the community without needing expensive commercial editors.

For this update, I built a completely integrated FontForge-style glyph editor right into the app. It's got a responsive grid for every codepoint and a full vector drawing canvas with about 13 tools (Bezier pen, knife, ruler, shapes, freehand, etc.). You can now import SVGs directly into a glyph cell and even run Python or FontForge scripts right inside the tool.

We also added a new custom file dialog with bookmarks and navigation history, a real vector data model under the hood, and a clean ZIP-based .ttfm project format to save and load your font mods effortlessly. It was honestly wild getting the Bezier intersection detection and DPI-safe rendering working smoothly, but the AI definitely pulled its weight.

The whole thing is open source and built with Python, PyQt6, and fontTools.

Repo is up on GitHub if you want to check out the code or try it out: https://github.com/nexustribarixa-redaamakrane/fmodloader

Would love to hear any feedback or thoughts if anyone is into font engineering or just building desktop apps with PyQt. Cheers!
