Pretty sure I’m actually bisexual. In your is this something I absolutely need to tell my lesbian partner?
I want to preface that I know this is a lesbian sub and I’m not trying to take up space that isn’t mine but I could really use some advice on this from lesbians.
I’ve identified as a lesbian for over 10 years and I’m out to everyone I know. But for the past year or so I’ve had feelings that make me question if I’m bisexual, and last month I realized that I am in fact actually bi. I haven’t told anyone besides my therapist.
My girlfriend and I have been together for a couple of years and have been talking about moving in together soon. She has always identified as a lesbian. I love her and I’m perfectly happy staying with her forever. I don’t have any real desire to be with men and don’t plan on it.
Should I still tell my girlfriend I’m pretty sure I’m bi? It feels almost irrelevant because I only want to be with her and it seems like something than might unnecessarily cause some disruption. She’s never said she is strictly les4les. I also don’t know if I want to deal with explaining how I feel and how I came to this conclusion about my sexuality. I’m not ashamed but it does feel a little wrong after identifying as a lesbian for so long. We’re both deeply ingrained in local lesbian community.
I don’t know, what do you guys think? As my partner is it her business and her right to know? Would I be wrong to just keep it to myself until I feel more comfortable with it?
