Forsythia dupe
(Blah blah blah, nativar blah blah tulips blah blah rhubarb!.... This is my showy ornamental garden, not my native garden)
I am really pleased with this Dart's Gold ninebark as a native, non invasive forsythia alternative. The bright almost yellow leaves are a very similar pop of bright spring colour to forsythia, which is blooming right now locally. It's like forsythia, but better ornamentally, since it will also have the lovely ninebark flowers and seed heads later this season, and chartreuse leaves, while forsythia is a mid green blob.
