Why aren’t there larger Pelikan pens with steel nibs?

Question

I’m pleasantly surprised with the nibs on my M215’s…. the metal nibs on these feel much softer and springier than the gold nib on my M605. The M605 writes perfectly fine, but it feels more like a nail than the M2xx size.

If Pelikan were to sell, for example, a metal nib version of an M800 (with their smooth brass piston), for 100-150 euros less than their Souverän counterparts, I would jump at it.

(Yes, I know Admok and Majohn both make “homages”…)
