ok, so HOW exactly did Sothis repopulate Fodlan?

This question has bothered me for years, and to this day I cannot find a straightforward answer.

We all know Fodlan was originally inhabited by the Agarthans. Sothis arrived in Fodlan, created the Nabatean race from her blood, and then eventually after the Agarthans and the Nabateans fought, the rebellious Agarthans hid underground, later to become known as TWSITD. Then Sothis spent her power to repopulate Fodlan.

If Sothis totally repopulated Fodlan from zero, using her blood like she did for the OG Nabateans, that would mean that current day Fodlan's inhabitants would pretty much all be Nabateans, which is not the case.

So what gives? When Sothis repopulated Fodlan this time around, did she use a different method? Were there Agarthans who didn't rebel who stayed on the surface and interbred with Nabateans, producing the population of modern-day Fodlan? I kind of prefer the second theory but I can't find any confirmation on what truly is the case.

Maybe I'm missing something .... Honestly have googled and watched people's Fodlan History videos but can't find anything that's clear on this point.
