Amazon OA – which role triggered it + popup during test issue

Hi everyone,

I recently received an Online Assessment from Amazon for SDE roles and had a couple of questions.

I applied to multiple roles:

• SDE 2026 (applied a few months ago)
• SDE II (applied very recently)

Interestingly, I got the OA email within 1 hour after applying to the SDE II role, which made me wonder:

1. Does Amazon trigger OA based on the most recent application (like SDE II), or is it usually tied to earlier applications / a general SDE pipeline?

2. During the coding test, I got a system pop-up and notification. I didn’t switch tabs or leave the test , just closed it and continued.

Would this be flagged as suspicious, or is it generally fine?

Would really appreciate insights from anyone who has gone through this recently. Thanks!
