Girls, help me out — what does this mean?
I (M) knew a girl during my intermediate (11th/12th). We never really talked, but I used to notice her a lot in class and had a crush. Sometimes she noticed me too, but I never had the courage to confess.
After a few years, during my B.Tech 3rd year, she suddenly reached out to me and directly asked, “Do you really love me?” I didn’t want to mislead her because I knew I wouldn’t marry her, so I told her honestly that I was attracted to her and we could just be friends.
After that, we started talking daily for around 5 months. We got close, shared personal things, and even said we liked each other.
Then suddenly around February, she stopped replying but kept seeing my messages. After a few days, she called me from another number and said her mother saw our chats, took her phone, and told me not to text her.
I waited. Later, when I spoke to her again through her friend’s phone, she said she got her phone back days ago and would call me — but she never did. I also found out she had blocked me.
I tried a couple more times to talk through her friend’s phone, but she was distant. When I directly asked if she didn’t want to talk anymore, she just said “ok” and didn’t contact me again.
After that, I stopped chasing and moved on mostly.
Recently, I texted her again just to get clarity. She said that because she was talking to me, her parents took her phone and there were issues at home. I didn’t push further and ended things respectfully.
We had a very short conversation after that, but she didn’t continue it and ended it quickly.
Now I’m confused: Was it really just family pressure, or did she lose interest?
And should I completely leave her alone now, or is there any point in trying again later?
Looking for honest advice.
