Highly suspicious

I've sent stuff to ThredUp twice. Last year I sent a bag. They offered to return the garments I didn't sell, back at a small charge. I think after the bag charge, I made some change. But I got my leftovers back. A couple months ago I sent two bags jammed full of nice stuff. (I lost weight) They rejected quite a lot, including some really nice, high end outfits, and never gave me the option to reclaim them. Now, as items are reaching the end of their sales period, I've been offered the chance to "reclaim" at $6.00 per item.

So the way I see it, they charged $15 for the bag, and they've "donated" about half, which included the jackets to 2 piece sets...not the dress or skirts. Now I've been given the option to reclaim about 8 items at $6.00 each. So they're getting almost $50 for the items I paid $15 to send...I figure I'm out money on these two bags.

The 2 piece sets I sent were attached to each other, but they either sold them as separates or rejected one of the two pieces, which full-on offends me for the buyer's sake. Why sell half a suit?

Does anyone suspect that maybe that given some of the really nice stuff they reject, (which they don't return) that maybe they have their own second-hand stores somewhere?

Anyhow, I'm done with them. I've bought some nice clothes from them, but I know the seller isn't benefitting and that makes me sad.

In the future, my donations are going to local charity shops. Not sure if I'll try to sell other stuff on PoshMark (I"ve never had luck there) Or eBay but this place seems so sketchy.
