I relate to early Jon so much as someone with hallucinations
My mental health is whack and the best method I found to stop any and all hallucinations of....sinister happenings... is AGGRESSIVELY not believing in the supernatural. Like I am very aggressively NOT believing this is real and I just experienced it, and if I did experience it then it was just the wind. This somehow reduces my visual and audatory hallucinations to almost 0.
For example one evening I was about to change the cats' litter, so I went to the backyard in the dark because that's where we keep the stuff we put in the litterbox. My dad was doing something in the shed closest to the house, so we exchanged a few words, until we heard some weird noise from the dark sheds in the back. Which I would normally write off as a hallucination, except my dad asked if I heard it too. But me aggressively being a NON-believer, I have decided none of this is gonna fuck with me, fuck everything supernatural that definitely does NOT exist and I walked right up to said noise to change the litter anyways.
Similar things frequently happen to me and I will continue to NOT acknowledge them, because this surely doesn't mean ANYTHING! :D Me and season 1-2 Jon would be best buddies. He's such a comfort character to me. Like "yepp, this definitely did NOT happen and I will NOT acknowledge anything even alluding to it happening". I'm tempted to write some silly fanfiction with this theme.
